The present invention provides an antiviral agent which has an excellent effect on a non-enveloped virus and which is highly safe to the human body, and an antiviral composition which comprises the antiviral agent and which is useful for disinfection of the virus or prevention of infection of the virus. The antiviral agent is characterized by comprising as an active ingredient an extract from a plant of the genus Diospyros containing tannin, a catechin, wattle tannin, pentagalloyl glucose, coffee tannin, an alkyl gallate (excluding that in the above-described persimmon extract), pyrogallol, or an organic acid and/or a salt thereof (excluding that in the above-described persimmon extract). The antiviral composition is characterized by comprising at least the antiviral agent and an alcohol, a surfactant, a microbicide, a humectant, or a cosmetic fat and oil, and preferably further comprises citric acid and/or a salt thereof or vitamin C.
L'invention porte sur un agent antiviral qui a un excellent effet sur un virus sans enveloppe et est hautement sans danger pour le corps humain ; et sur une composition antivirale qui contient l'agent antiviral et qui est utile pour la désinfection pour le virus ou la prévention d'une infection du virus. L'agent antiviral est caractérisé par le fait qu'il contient un extrait d'une plante du genre Diospyros contenant un tanin, une catéchine, un tanin d'acacia, du pentagalloyl glucose, un tanin de café, un gallate d'alkyle (à l'exclusion de l'extrait mentionné ci-dessus provenant d'une plante du genre Diospyros), un pyrogallol ou un acide organique et/ou un sel de celui-ci (à l'exclusion de l'extrait mentionné ci-dessus provenant d'une plante du genre Diospyros) en tant qu'ingrédient actif. En outre, la composition antivirale de l'invention est caractérisée par le fait qu'elle contient au moins l'agent antiviral mentionné ci-dessus et un alcool, un agent tensio-actif, un microbicide, un agent d'hydratation ou une huile ou une graisse pour produits cosmétiques, et de préférence contient en outre de l'acide citrique et/ou un sel de celui-ci ou un élément du groupe de la vitamine C.
