The invention relates to an anvil wheel (1) comprising a rim and a mounted peripheral band (9). The invention is characterised in that the rim comprises at least two flanges (6, 7) which clamp the mounted band (9) therebetween, the side face of said flanges (6, 7) comprising at least one retaining zone (10, 12) which is designed to oppose the expansion of the mounted band (9).
