ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE APAP tablet containing from about 190 to 1000 milligrams of APAP, from 25 to 100 milligrams of an alkali metal salt of a low substituted carboxymethyl starch such as sodium or potassium, and preferably sodium and, optionally, a non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable binder in a quantity equal to or less than the amount of APAP in the tablet.
