A polypeptide having an effect of inducing the agglutination of chromatin; a sense nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide or its antisense nucleic acid; a probe or a primer capable of binding specifically to the nucleic acid; an antibody against the polypeptide or a fragment thereof; apoptosis regulatory agents containing the above polypeptide, nucleic acid or antibody or a fragment thereof; a method for screening a chromatin agglutination inhibitor which comprises examining the activity of the polypeptide of inducing the agglutination of chromatin; and a chromatin agglutination inhibitor; being useful in searching an apoptosis regulatory substance, regulating apoptosis, and treating various diseases in association with apoptosis.

Cette invention se rapporte à un polypeptide ayant pour effet d'induire l'agglutination de chromatine; à un acide nucléique sens codant ce polypeptide ou son acide nucléique antisens; à une sonde ou une amorce capable de se fixer spécifiquement à cet acide nucléique; à un anticorps contre ce polypeptide ou un fragment de celui-ci; à des agents de régulation de l'apoptose, contenant ce polypeptide, cet acide nucléique ou cet anticorps ou un fragment de ceux-ci; à un procédé de criblage d'un inhibiteur d'agglutination de chromatine, qui consiste à examiner l'activité du polypeptide induisant l'agglutination de chromatine; et à un inhibiteur d'agglutination de chromatine, utiles dans la recherche d'une substance de régulation de l'apoptose, dans la régulation de l'apoptose et dans le traitement des diverses maladies associées à l'apoptose.
