A shielding enclosure for electronic components, comprises a hollow body, having a sheet metal wall portion (15) and an opening closed by a readily- removable sheet metal panel (9), with interdigitation between an edge zone of the wall portion (15) and an adjacent edge zone of the panel (9), the interdigitation constituting a U-section channel (14) on the wall portion (15) and an interdigitating flange (13) on the panel (9).
