ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An improved apparatus for distributing particulate materials over a zone wherein the apparatus is not centrally located with respect to the zone comprising a supply hopper, having an inlet and an outlet, for holding particulate materials a rotatable shaft adapted for connection to a motor to be rotated thereby; and a distributor element supported by the shaft for rotating therewith adjacent the supply hopper outlet wherein the distances between the different points of the supply hopper outlet and the distributor element are varied in a predetermined pattern so that the particulate material is substantially uniformly distributed over the cross-section of the zone.
