Apparatus, and an associated method, for facilitating initiation of synchronization operations between databases in a radio communication system. A network-based database copy and a mobile-based database copy are maintained, and asynchronously updated. Synchronization operations synchronize the databases to place the databases in match with one another. Session state information is maintained, and communicated between the mobile node and the network part pursuant to start of a synchronization session.
Dispositif et méthode associée conçus pour faciliter le lancement d'opérations de synchronisation entre des bases de données dans un système de communication par radio. Une copie de base de données réseau et une copie de base de données mobile sont entretenues et mises à jour de manière asynchrone. Les opérations de synchronisation ont pour but de synchroniser les bases de données. Les renseignements concernant l'état de la session sont tenus à jour et transmis entre le noeud mobile et la partie réseau afin de lancer une session de synchronisation.
