ABSTRACT Apparatus is provided for the repair of automobile bodies in which pulling towers may be secured to the vehicle support bed at any location without difficulty. The pulling tower has an elongate horizontal member which is detachably connectable through a pivot to the bed. A vehicle lifting mechanism is also provided which has on a first end auxil- iary vehicle engaging arms and on a second end connecting means for movably engaging the pulling post. Between the arms a piston or connection may be provided to the pulling post actuating means to move the lifting mechanism.
