ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus is described for precision aligning and joining of individual blanks together along an over- lapping portion thereof by a bonding agent. The individual blanks are conveyed along the apparatus with their lateral edges retained in grooved guides in overlying relation- ship. The grooved guides are provided with ramped transition sections which displace the overlapping edge portion of the blanks towards each other such that the blanks can be joined together by adhesive disposed on one of the blanks upon further contact of the overlapping portion of the blanks. The apparatus is particularly characterized by end supporting means constructed and arranged to provide a longitudinally extending opening in which the adhesive means is displaced from the opposing surface of the other of the blanks during the transporting of the blanks to be joined.
