A suture anchor having a conical surface and a bore in which an end of an insertion tool is inserted. The insertion end of the insertion tool is made of material having elastic properties. The bore and base of the suture anchor are angled with respect to the central axis of the suture anchor and preferably are parallel to each other. During insertion, the suture anchor is reoriented to fit into the hole, thereby bending the elastic and of the insertion tool. When the suture anchor is within cancellous bone tissue, the elastic properties of the insertion tool deploys the suture anchor to an orientation in which the suture anchor cannot fit through the bone hole, thereby firmly anchoring the suture anchor in the human bone.
Ancre de suture présentant une surface conique et un alésage dans lequel est introduite l'extrémité d'un outil d'introduction. L'extrémité d'introduction de l'outil d'introduction est constituée d'un matériau possédant des propriétés élastiques. L'alésage et la base de l'ancre de suture forment un angle par rapport à l'axe central de l'ancre de suture et sont de préférence parallèles l'un à l'autre. Pendant l'introduction, l'ancre de suture est réorientée pour passer dans le trou, ce qui provoque la flexion de l'extrémité élastique de l'outil d'introduction. Lorsque l'ancre de suture se trouve à l'intérieur du tissu osseux spongieux, les propriétés élastiques de l'outil d'introduction confèrent à l'ancre de suture une orientation dans laquelle ladite ancre ne peut plus passer dans le trou osseux, ancrant ainsi solidement l'ancre de suture dans l'os humain.
