A method of efficiently assigning a plurality of reverse HARQ channels to an MS in a BS in a mobile communication system supporting HARQ is provided. To transmit reverse data to the BS, the MS transmits a reverse data rate request message to the BS, receives from the BS one grant message containing a reverse data rate, and transmits to the BS different packet data at predetermined intervals at the reverse data rate on a packet data channel.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'attribution efficace de plusieurs canaux ARQ hybride (HARQ) à une station principale dans une station de base d'un système de communication mobile supportant l'HARQ. En vue de transmettre les données inverse à la station de base, la station principale transmet un message de demande de débit binaire inverse à la station de base, reçoit de la station de base un message d'autorisation contenant le débit binaire inverse et transmet à la station de base différentes données par paquets à des intervalles prédéfinis au débit binaire inverse sur un canal de données par paquets.
