A method of assuring integrity of a personal information data base containing personal information provided by multiple users, the method comprising: (a) obtaining a user's personal information from the user; (b) obtaining a first set of physiological identifiers associated with the user; (c) storing, in a digital storage medium, a data set pertinent to the user, the data set including the user's personal information and a representation of the physiological identifiers associated with the user; (d) permitting a subject to modify information in the stored data set pertinent to the user only if (i) the subject provides a new set of physiological identifiers and (ii) it is determined, by recourse to the stored data set, that there is a sufficient match between at least one member in the new set and a corresponding member of the first set, so that the subject is authenticated as the user.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'assurer l'intégrité d'une base de données contenant des informations personnelles fournies par plusieurs utilisateurs. Le procédé consiste à: a) obtenir de l'utilisateur des informations personnelles; b) obtenir une première série d'identificateurs physiologiques associés à l'utilisateur; c) stocker, dans une mémoire numérique, une série de données propres à l'utilisateur, qui comprend notamment les informations personnelles de l'utilisateur et une représentation de ses identificateurs physiologiques; d) n'autoriser un sujet à modifier les informations contenues dans la série de données stockées propres à l'utilisateur que si (i) le sujet produit une nouvelle série d'identificateurs physiologiques et (ii) l'on détermine, sur la base de la série de données stockées, que la concordance est suffisante entre au moins un élément de la nouvelle série et un élément correspondant de la première série. Ainsi, le sujet est authentifié comme étant l'utilisateur.
