An improved apparatus for carrying out devitalizations and root canal treatments in teeth by means of the use of liquid chemical substances comprises the following steps: putting the pulp chamber and the relevant root canals under vacuum by means of a vacuum vessel; and selectively feeding, in succession, into said pulp chamber and said root canals said liquid chemical substances, which are contained inside respective containers under atmospheric pressure; said substances are then drawn into said vacuum vessel. The so treated tooth is then sealed by sucking a sealing paste-like substance into it.
