A method and apparatus for coating the outer surface of a workpiece comprises disposing a workpiece in a fixed position along an axis and rotating a thermal spray gun around the axis on a support with a thermal spray thereof directed towards the axis. The powder, fuel and oxygen are rotatably coupled to the gun and the thermal spray gun and the support are moved along the axis while rotating.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de recouvrir la surface extérieure d'une pièce à usiner (W). Ce procédé consiste à placer la pièce à usiner (W) dans une position fixée le long d'un axe, puis à faire tourner un pistolet de pulvérisation thermique (7) autour de cet axe sur un support (5) pourvu d'un pulvérisateur thermique (S) dirigé vers l'axe. La poudre, le combustible et l'oxygène sont reliés de manière rotative au pistolet (7). Le pistolet (7) et le support (5) étant déplacés le long de l'axe pendant leur rotation.
