A method for controlling and managing individual directed sessions between at least two endpoints (240, 242) in a communications system. The method including the steps of: intercepting a first message sent from an initiating endpoint (240) via application layer routing to at least one other endpoint (242) requesting an individual directed session; communicating the requested individual directed session to a service entity for determining the state of the session as a function of communication system resources and capabilities and resources of the endpoints (240, 242) to the be included in the requested session, if accepted, determining a set of corresponding session parameters; and communicating the session to the initiating endpoint (240) also communicating the state of the session the at least one other endpoint (246).
Cette invention concerne un procédé de commande et de gestion de sessions dirigées individuelles entre au moins deux points d'extrémité (240, 242) dans un système de communication. Ce procédé consiste : à intercepter un premier message envoyé depuis un point d'extrémité d'émission (240) par routage d'une couche application vers au moins un autre point d'extrémité (242) demandant une session dirigée individuelle ; à communiquer la session dirigée individuelle demandée à une entité de service pour déterminer l'état de cette session comme fonction de ressources du système de communication ainsi que les capacités et les ressources des points d'extrémité (240, 242) à inclure dans la session demandée soient déterminées ; puis, si celle-ci est acceptée, à déterminer un ensemble de paramètres de session correspondants ; et à communiquer la session au point d'extrémité d'émission (242) communiquant également l'état de la session à au moins un autre point d'extrémité (246).
