A method and apparatus for controlling reproduction quality according to a position of a moving image reproduced in a three-dimensional virtual space. The apparatus comprises an object generation unit 11 for generating an object based on three-dimensional object data externally input, an object position determination unit 12 that moves the generated object according to a user input, and thereby determines an object position, a view point position determination unit 13 that moves a view point according to the user input and thereby determines a view point position, a distance calculation unit 16 for calculating a distance from the object position and the view point position, a frame rate determination unit 17 for determining a frame rate corresponding to the calculated distance on the basis of a set table or formula, and a frame rate control unit 18 and a moving image generation unit 19 for reproducing the moving image with the frame rate of moving image data externally input reduced.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour maîtriser la qualité de reproduction d'une image animée reproduite dans un espace virtuel en trois dimensions, en fonction de la position de ladite image. Le dispositif comprend une section de génération d'objet (11) qui génère un objet sur la base de données d'objet tridimensionnelles introduites depuis l'extérieur, une section de détermination de position d'objet (12), servant à déterminer la position de l'objet généré par déplacement de l'objet selon des entrées effectuées par l'utilisateur, une section de détermination de position de point d'observation (13), servant à déterminer la position du point d'observation par déplacement de celui-ci selon des entrées effectuées par l'utilisateur, une section de calcul de distance (16), servant au calcul de la distance séparant des positions de l'objet et du point d'observation, une section de détermination de la fréquence de trames (17), servant à déterminer la fréquence de trames correspondant à la distance calculée, au moyen de tables ou de formules mathématiques prédéfinies, une section de commande de fréquence de trames (18), et une section de génération d'image animée (19), ces deux dernières sections servant à la reproduction d'une image animée à une fréquence de trames inférieure à celle des données d'image animée introduites depuis l'extérieur.
