ABSTRACT Disclosed is a method for controlling an operational state of a medium access control layer in a broadband wireless access communication system. The method includes the steps of performing an uplink access of a contention-based scheme to an access point using resources required to perform the uplink access according to the contention-based scheme when data to be transmitted in an access state is detected, and being allocated resources required to perform an uplink access of a contention-free scheme from the access point in a case of failing in the uplink access of the contention-based scheme; and performing a state transition from the access state into the traffic state in a case of having been allocated the resource required for the contention-free scheme, and performing the uplink access of the contention- free scheme to the access point using the allocated resource in the traffic state.
La présente invention concerne une logique de commande des états de la couche de contrôle d'accès aux supports d'un système de communication à accès radio large bande. A cet effet, on commence par réaliser un accès remontant selon une logique de type contention, jusqu'à un point d'accès. On utilise pour cela les ressources nécessaires à la réalisation de l'accès remontant selon la logique de type contention, dès qu'on détecte que des données à transmettre sont en accès. Les ressources affectées sont celles qui sont nécessaires à la réalisation d'un accès remontant, en logique de type contention, depuis le point d'accès en cas de défaillance dans l'accès remontant selon la logique de type contention. On réalise ensuite une transition d'état d'accès à trafic dans la mesure où les ressources nécessaires à la logique sans contention ont bien été affectées. Il ne reste plus qu'à effectuer l'accès remontant selon la logique sans contention, jusqu'au point d'accès, utilisant à cet effet la ressource affectée en trafic.
