APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COOLING OF THREE OR MORE OIL-FILLED ELECTRIC CABLES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Method and apparatus for oscillating the cooling and insulating oil in an electric power cable or cables having three or more oil channels which differs from prior art methods and apparatus in that all the pumping apparatus is at one end of the cables and the oil is caused to flow in one direction in one of the channels while it flows in the opposite direction in the other channels with the directions of flow being periodi- cally reversed. The pumping apparatus is controlled by a timer which cyclically causes the desired directions of flow in each of the oil channels, and at the end remote from the pumping end, the ends of the channels are hy- draulically connected together by simple piping and valves.
