An apparatus comprises a tensioned sample tube that receives a fluid sample, the tensioned sample tube has a predetermined tension applied thereto. A vibration source and a vibration detector are coupled to the tensioned sample tube. A method of estimating a property of a fluid comprises tensioning a sample tube to a predetermined tension. A sample of the fluid is received in the tensioned sample tube. The tensioned sample tube is vibrated. A resonant frequency of the tensioned sample tube is detected. The property of the fluid is estimated based on the detected resonant frequency of the tensioned sample tube.
La présente invention a pour objet un appareil comprenant un tube à échantillon sous tension qui reçoit un échantillon de fluide, le tube à échantillon sous tension possédant une tension prédéterminée qui lui est appliquée. Une source de vibration et un détecteur de vibration sont couplés au tube à échantillon sous tension. La présente invention a également pour objet un procédé dévaluation dune propriété dun fluide comprenant la mise sous tension dun tube à échantillon sous une tension prédéterminée. Un échantillon du fluide est reçu dans le tube à échantillon sous tension. Une vibration du tube à échantillon sous tension est effectuée. Une fréquence de résonance du tube à échantillon sous tension est détectée. La propriété du fluide est évaluée sur la base de la fréquence de résonance détectée du tube à échantillon sous tension.
