A backwash distribution apparatus for a filter having a filter tank and a plurality of underdrain laterals includes a first and second separator device positioned in a common main conduit to define first and second auxiliary flumes. The first and second auxiliary flumes are in fluid communication with the common main conduit and the underdrain laterals. The first separator device has at least one flume liquid metering orifice preferably located near the bottom of the first separator device so that it may be below a gas liquid interface in the first auxiliary flume. The second separator device has either a weir edge or a plurality of metering orifices (or both) for passing backwash liquid from the common main conduit into the second auxiliary flume. The second separator device creates an adequate liquid pool in the common main conduit to prevent short circuiting of gas into a liquid opening for the common main conduit and also to provide low velocity flow of backwash liquid therein, while also providing uninhibited flow of backwash gas. The second separator also controls the distribution of backwash liquid and/or gas inside the common main conduit. A method for gas backwash in the presence of liquid according to the invention is also disclosed.
Selon l'invention, un appareil de distribution de lavage à contre-courant pour filtre doté d'un réservoir de filtre et d'une pluralité de canaux latéraux de drain de sortie comprend des premier et second dispositifs séparateurs positionnés dans une conduite principale commune de manière à former des premier et second canaux auxiliaires. Ces premier et second canaux auxiliaires sont en communication fluidique avec la conduite principale commune et les canaux latéraux de drain de sortie. Le premier dispositif séparateur comporte au moins un orifice de comptage de liquide de canal situé, de préférence, à proximité de la partie inférieure du premier dispositif séparateur, de telle manière qu'il peut se trouver au-dessous d'une interface liquide/gaz dans le premier canal auxiliaire. Le second dispositif séparateur présente soit un bord de barrage, soit plusieurs orifices de comptage (ou les deux à la fois) de manière à acheminer du liquide de lavage à contre courant dans le second canal auxiliaire. Le second dispositif séparateur permet de créer un bassin de liquide adéquat dans la conduite principale commune afin d'empêcher un court-circuitage de gaz dans une ouverture de liquide destinée à la conduite principale commune et d'engendrer ainsi un flux de vitesse réduite de liquide de lavage à contre courant, tandis qu'est engendré un flux non inhibé de gaz de lavage à contre courant. Le second séparateur permet, aussi, de réguler la distribution de liquide de lavage à contre courant et/ou de gaz à l'intérieur de la conduite principale commune. Cette invention a aussi pour objet un procédé pour le lavage à contre courant au gaz en présence de liquide.
