Cuttings of taxane-containing Taxus Canadensis are dried by placing them in open baskets, and stacking the baskets in a housing defining a drying chamber to form a partition across the chamber. Fans at one end of the partition circulate air entering the chamber through an inlet in the housing on one side of the partition through the cuttings to an outlet in the housing on the other side of the partition. The air is heated by banks of heaters mounted in the chamber on the inlet side of the housing.
