A method for transmitting a plurality of data frames in a mobile telecommunications system is disclosed. Each data frame has a frame sequence number and a data block. The method comprises the steps of segmenting a data frame into a plurality of data segments for retransmission, assigning the frame sequence number to each of said data segment, and assigning respective sequence numbers to the data bytes of each data segment to distinguish the first and last bytes of said data segment.

Cette invention a trait à une méthode de transmission de plusieurs trames de données dans un système mobile de télécommunications. Chaque trame de données porte un numéro de séquence de trame et un bloc de données. La méthode consiste à segmenter une trame de données en plusieurs segments de données aux fins de retransmission, à attribuer le numéro de séquence de trame à chacun de ces segments de données et à attribuer des numéros respectifs de séquence aux bits de données de chaque segment de données afin de distinguer le premier et le dernier bit de ce segment de données.
