A wide mouthed container (2) filled with beer (20) has a first closure member (12) applied thereto and held in position. The container is then moved along the filling line to a cleaning station at which the exterior thereof is subjected to high pressure jets of water to clean any contaminants therefrom. After drying, a second closure member (14) is screwed over the first closure member (12) to seal the container. In this manner, it is ensured that there are no contaminants on the exterior of the container near the mouth opening so that it is safe to drink from the container after opening.
L'invention concerne un récipient à grande ouverture (2) rempli de bière (20), qui comporte un premier élément de fermeture (12) fixé au récipient et maintenu en position. Le récipient est ensuite transporté, le long d'une ligne de remplissage, à un poste de lavage auquel l'extérieur du récipient est soumis à des jets d'eau à pression élevée afin d'éliminer les contaminants éventuels. Après séchage, un second élément de fermeture (14) est vissé sur le premier élément de fermeture (12) afin de sceller le récipient. On s'assure ainsi qu'aucun contaminant ne subsiste sur l'extérieur du récipient à proximité de l'ouverture, afin de pouvoir boire du récipient sans danger.
