Apparatus and method for grinding levelling of paper, cardboard or a similar continuous web manufactured from vegetative based fibrous raw-material, said apparatus comprising a plurality of grinding means such as rolls or belts preferably arranged on both sides of the web, said means being deviated from the moving direction of the web or the web being deviated from these by means of squeeze rolls and which rolls are characterised by being trioelectrically charged with a similar electrical charge as the ground surface. The web tension can be regulated by moving the grinding means or the web from its direction of movement and the dust generated at the grinding is removed by a vacuum system.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé d'égalisation par meulage du papier, carton ou autre bande continue fabriquée à partir de matières premières à base de fibres végétales. Ledit appareil comprend une pluralité de dispositifs de défibrage tels que des rouleaux ou des courroies, disposés, de préférence, de part et d'autre de la bande continue, lesdits dispositifs de défibrage étant décalés par rapport au sens de défilement de la bande ou la bande étant décalée par rapport auxdits dispositifs. Ces rouleaux se caractérisent par une charge triboélectrique similaire à la charge électrique de la surface défibrée. La tension de la bande peut être réglée en faisant varier l'angle séparant les dispositifs de défibrage ou la bande du sens de défilement de cette dernière. La poussière générée par le défibrage est éliminée par un système d'aspiration.
