An instrument for harvesting bone comprised of an elongate body (20) having a hollow (32), and a proximal end and a distal end communicating with one another through the hollow. A loop shaped blade (12) having a curved cutting edge (14) adjacent to a curved aperture (16) or cutting or abrading bone is located at the distal end of the instrument. The cut or abraded bone moves through the aperture and into the hollow for storage. The retractable blade provides access to the stored bone for manipulation as needed, and a plunger (24) in the handle advances the bone for placement in the recipient site.

L'invention porte sur un instrument de prélèvements d'os comportant un corps allongé (20) présentant un évidement (32) et des extrémités proximale et distale communiquant entre elles par l'évidement. Une lame en boucle (12) dont le bord tranchant (14) contigu à une ouverture arrondie (16) et servant à découper ou abrader l'os est situé à l'extrémité distale de l'instrument. L'os découpé ou abradé passant par l'ouverture vient prendre place dans l'évidement. La lame étant rétractable, laisse accéder à l'os en place pour les manipulations nécessaires et un piston (24) intégré à la poignée pousse l'os pour le déposer dans le site récepteur.
