A method and apparatus for heating a propane tank located in proximity to a liquid cooled internal combustion engine comprises connecting a heating coil to a liquid coolant circuit of the engine such that liquid coolant flows from the engine to the heating coil and back to the engine and such that the liquid coolant generates heat in the heating coil. The heating coil .is fastened adjacent to the propane tank and insulated such that the heat generated in the heating coil is inhibited from escaping to the atmosphere, and such that the heat generated in the heating coil is substantially transferred to the propane tank.
