An apparatus and method for completing a junction between a primary and secondary wellbore. A deflector is located in the primary wellbore adjacent to the wellbore junction. The apparatus comprises a conduit comprising: an upper section; a lower section comprising; a primary leg for engaging a seat of the deflector and a secondary leg for insertion in the secondary wellbore; and a deformable conduit junction located between the upper and lower sections whereby the conduit is separated into the legs; such that when the apparatus is lowered in the primary wellbore, the secondary leg is deflected into the secondary wellbore by the deflector such that the conduit junction becomes deformed, and the primary leg then engages the seat.
Appareil et méthode conçus pour compléter un raccordement entre un puits primaire et un puits secondaire. Un déflecteur, installé dans le puits primaire, est placé à côté du raccordement du puits. L'appareil est constitué d'une canalisation comportant les éléments suivants : une section supérieure; une section secondaire elle-même constituée d'un conduit primaire conçu pour s'engager avec un siège du déflecteur et d'un conduit secondaire conçu pour s'insérer dans le puits secondaire; et une canalisation de raccordement déformable mise en place entre les sections supérieure et inférieure pour permettre de diviser la canalisation en conduits. De cette façon, lorsqu'on fait descendre l'appareil dans le puits primaire, le conduit secondaire est défléchi par le déflecteur dans le puits secondaire et déforme le raccordement de la canalisation, le conduit primaire s'engageant alors avec le siège.
