APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAKING DISPOSABLE PACKET ASSEMBLIES Abstract of the Disclosure An apparatus and a method for producing packet assemblies consisting of a plurality of interconnected dis- posable dispensing packets, each containing an individual material to be dispensed. In accordance with the apparatus and method aspects of the invention, a continuous strip is formed incorporating a plurality of longitudinally spaced pockets which are open along one lateral edge of the strip. The strip is advanced sequentially into engagement with a series of rotary filling devices, each formed with filling stations around the periphery thereof and are adapted to fill selected ones of the pockets with a selected material in an ordered repetitive sequence. After each filling oper- ation, or at the completion of the filling operations, the open lateral edge of the strip is sealed, forming a series of packets. The filled and sealed strip is thereafter severed into sections, each comprising a prescribed number of interconnected disposable dispensing packets.
