ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Measurement of the torsional and bending capabilities of the lower extremities of a human body is accomplished by applying torsional (twisting) and bending (pitching) forces to the lower extremities through the muscular strength of a subject and to the limit of significant pain or discomfort. Means are provided for measuring the applied forces to provide torsional and bending indices, and which indices may be cor- related for a variety of purposes desired.
