An Internet gateway video server (110) transmits selection information to a set top box connected to a television (114). The set top box (112) displays the selection information on the television (114). A user views the selection information, and inputs user selection requests to the set top box (112). The Internet gateway video server (110) receives the user requests for information and retrieves the information. The server (110) then converts the network information from a network format to a television format. The conversion includes scanning the network information for selection elements, and adding selection elements for transmission in the television format. The converted network information is then transmitted to the set top box (112) for display on the television (114). The user may then make further selections based on the displayed network information.
Un vidéo serveur passerelle d'Internet (110) transmet des informations de sélection à un coffret d'abonné relié à un téléviseur (114). Le coffret (112) présente les informations sur le téléviseur (114). Un utilisateur voit lesdites informations et introduit les demandes de sélection dans le coffret (112). Le vidéo serveur passerelle d'Internet (110) reçoit lesdites demandes et retrouve les informations puis les convertit du format réseau en un format télévision. La conversion consiste à balayer les informations réseau pour y trouver les éléments de sélection, et à additionner les éléments de sélection pour les transmettre en format télévision. Les informations de réseau converties sont alors transmises au coffret d'abonné (112) pour être présentées sur le téléviseur (114). L'utilisateur peut ensuite procéder à de nouvelles sélections sur la base des informations réseau présentées.
