An apparatus and method for operating many applications between a portable storage device and a digital device are provided. The method includes opening at least two logical channels from the digital device to the portable storage device through a physical channel, transmitting and receiving data between a plurality of applications of the digital device and a plurality of ap¬ plications of the portable storage device through the opened logical channels, and closing the logical channels after finishing the transmitting and receiving of the data.

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner plusieurs applications entre un dispositif de stockage portatif et un dispositif numérique. Ce procédé consiste à ouvrir au moins deux canaux logiques du dispositif numérique vers le dispositif de stockage portatif à travers un canal physique, à transmettre et recevoir des données entre plusieurs applications du dispositif numérique et plusieurs applications du dispositif de stockage portatif à travers les canaux logiques ouverts, et à fermer les canaux logiques après avoir fini de transmettre et recevoir les données.
