The present invention provides a continuous electric conductor extending from a first stationary member, through a rotatable member, to a second stationary member which comprises first and second non-rotatable coil means which are connected through the rotatable member. Diverting means coupled to the rotatable member is provided for diverting a portion of the first non-rotatable coil means through the rotatable member to the second non-rotatable coil means and for positioning the said portion of the first non-rotatable coil means on the second non- rotatable coil means, as the rotatable member rotates. A method of passing a continuous electrical conductor through a rotatable member is also provided. The invention is particularly useful where an electric conductor passes through a rotatable member having limited rotational travel, such as the steering wheel of a motor vehicle.
