An anvil delivery instrument which comprises: an elongated outer member defining a general longitudinal axis and having proximal and distal ends, and defining a longitudinal bore; a pivot member at least partially disposed within the longitudinal bore of the outer member, the pivot member adapted for longitudinal movement within the outer member; and an anvil mounted to the outer member and operatively connected to the pivot member, the anvil including an anvil rod and an anvil head pivotally mounted to the anvil rod, the anvil head pivotally movable from a non--operative position to an operative position upon longitudinal movement of the pivot member, the anvil rod being mountable with respect to an end to end anastomosis instrument.
L'invention porte sur un instrument de livraison d'enclume qui comporte: un organe externe allongé qui définit un axe longitudinal général, aux extrémités proximale et distale, ainsi qu'un perçage longitudinal; un organe rotulien fixé, au moins en partie, à l'extérieur du perçage longitudinal de l'organe externe, ledit organe rotulien étant adapté à un mouvement longitudinal au sein de l'organe externe; et une enclume montée sur l'organe externe et rattaché opératoirement à l'organe rotulien, ladite enclume comprenant une tige et une tête montée à pivotement sur la tige qui se déplace, par pivotement, d'une position en état de non fonctionnement à une position en état de fonctionnement selon le mouvement longitudinal de l'organe rotulien, la tige de l'enclume étant mobile par rapport à un instrument d'anastomose d'un bout à l'autre.
