APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PERMANENTLY JOINING SCREW CONVEYOR MODULES ABSTRACT Plastic conveyer screws are formed of two or more aligned modules joined together by melting the ends of two modules and forming a joint. Apparatus afforded by this invention for forming the screws from the modules supports and clamps two modules separately in longitudinal and rotational alignment. Supported modules are heated to melt the ends to be joined and are pressed together axially in the apparatus to form the joint and solidify the joint into a unitary screw assembly.
