An apparatus (10) for placing multiple sutures during anastomosis of physiological vessels includes a crown (15) portion having a plurality of strands (20) connected together by one or more circular bands (25). The strands each form a point at one end with a curved hook (45) at the same end. The curved hook (45) acts as a suture to retain one or more of the vessels. An alternative embodiment includes a plurality of strands, or wires (170), that are inserted through one or more vessels to simultaneously place multiple sutures. The present invention also comprises a method for placing a plurality of sutures simultaneously with an apparatus.
L'invention concerne un appareil (10) permettant d'insérer de multiples sutures durant l'anastomose de vaisseaux physiologiques. Ledit appareil comprend une couronne (15) pourvue de plusieurs filaments (20) connectés ensemble par un ou plusieurs anneaux (25). Chaque filament forme un point à une extrémité avec un crochet recourbé (45) à la même extrémité. Le crochet recourbé (45) sert de suture pour retenir un ou plusieurs vaisseaux. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, l'appareil comprend plusieurs filaments, ou fils (170), insérés dans un ou plusieurs vaisseaux afin d'y insérer simultanément de multiples sutures. La présente invention concerne également une méthode permettant d'insérer simultanément plusieurs sutures à l'aide d'un appareil.
