An apparatus and method for repairing the junction of a sewer main line and a lateral pipe includes a generally T-shaped flexible translucent urethane inflatable bladder (12) having a main line portion (20) and a lateral portion (16). The lateral portion (16) is inverted through the main line portion (20) and extends out one end thereof. A liner assembly of resin absorbent material is formed, with a tubular lateral liner (16) connected to a flat sheet main liner (14), at a central opening (18) in the flat sheet liner (7). Each liner is coated with a polymer coating, for an airtight seal, and a polymer tape is welded to the polymer coating on the lateral liner (16) and the junction of the lateral liner and flat sheet, to form airtight seals. The liner assembly is then installed in the bladder assembly, by threading the lateral liner into the lateral bladder until the flat sheet contacts the main line bladder. The lateral liner (16) is then impregnated with uncured resin and the liner/bladder assembly is installed on launcher. The flat sheet (14) liner is also impregnated with uncured resin, and the launcher is then inserted in a sewer main line and aligned with a lateral pipe to be repaired. The lateral bladder (16) is inflated to revert the bladder upwardly into the lateral pipe forcing the liner assembly into contact with the lateral pipe, the main line sewer pipe, and the junction thereof. Once the resin is cured, the bladder assembly and launcher are removed from the sewer pipe.
Un appareil et un procédé de réparation de la jonction d'une conduite d'égout principale et d'une canalisation latérale comprend une vessie (12) flexible translucide gonflable en uréthane ayant d'une manière générale la forme d'un T et présentant une partie de conduite principale (20) ainsi qu'une partie latérale (16). La partie latérale (16) est retournée à travers la partie de conduite principale (20) et s'étend par une extrémité de celle-ci. Un ensemble revêtement en matériau absorbant en résine est formé, avec un revêtement tubulaire latéral (16) relié à un revêtement principal (14) formant une feuille plane, au niveau d'une ouverture centrale (18) dans le revêtement (7) formant une feuille plane. Chaque revêtement est enduit d'une couche polymère, pour former un joint étanche à l'air, et une bande de polymère est soudée à la couche de polymère sur le revêtement latéral (16) et la jonction du revêtement latéral et de la feuille plane, pour former des joints étanches à l'air. L'ensemble revêtement est ensuite installé dans un ensemble vessie, par introduction du revêtement latéral dans la vessie latérale jusqu'à ce que la feuille plane vienne au contact de la vessie de revêtement principale. Le revêtement latéral (16) est ensuite imprégné d'une résine non durcie et l'ensemble revêtement/vessie est installé sur le lanceur. Le revêtement formant feuille plane (14) est également imprégné d'une résine non durcie et le lanceur est ensuite inséré dans une conduite principale d'égout puis aligné avec une canalisation latérale à réparer. La vessie latérale (16) est gonflée afin de retourner la vessie vers le haut jusque dans la canalisation latérale forçant l'ensemble revêtement à venir au contact de la canalisation latérale, de la conduite d'égout à canalisation principale et de leur jonction. Une fois la résine durcie, l'ensemble vessie et le lanceur sont retirés de la canalisation d'égout.
