ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for, and a method of, producing a continuous flexible reinforced tubular conduit is provided herein. Such concept utilizes a plurality of elongated rigid mandrels each having a non-yielding outside surface. Such mandrels are moved continuously through a fabrication area in a substantially rectilinear path while operatively associated in aligned end-to-end relation where at least one wire is formed around the mandrels in a continuous non-rotating helical coil. An extruder head is provided and extrudes a plastic tube around the coil which is urged and bonded thereagainst to define a conduit. Means are provided which are operatively associated both with the conduit and with the mandrel for separating the conduit from its associated mandrel. In such manner, the coil diameter of the helically coiled wire may be precisely controlled, and the wall thickness and diameter of the extruded tube may also be precisely controlled.
