An apparatus for producing a tube having a round cross-section over a major portion of its length and intermediate its ends having a flattened oval cross- section. The apparatus includes an extrusion head (14) with an extrusion die (24) through which the tube is extruded. A pinching device, which includes opposed pinching elements (2), is arranged at the extrusion head (14) so as to be selectively moveable together to press on and pinch the tube to produce the oval cross-section of the tube. The rollers (2) are selectively moveable apart to not pinch the tube to enable the tube to be extruded round, whereby a round tube with an intermediate flattened oval shaped portion is produced.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de produire un tube qui présente une section transversale ronde sur une majeure partie de sa longueur et une section transversale intermédiaire ovale aplatie entre ses extrémités. L'appareil comprend une tête d'extrusion présentant une filière d'extrusion à travers laquelle le tube est extrudé. Un dispositif de pincement, qui comprend des éléments de pincement opposés, est disposé au niveau de la tête d'extrusion de façon que les éléments de pincement soient sélectivement mobiles afin de presser et de pincer le tube de manière à obtenir la section transversale ovale du tube. Les rouleaux sont sélectivement mobiles et peuvent s'écarter afin de ne pas pincer le tube pour permettre à ce dernier d'être extrudé de manière à présenter une forme ronde, ce qui permet d'obtenir un tube rond présentant une partie intermédiaire de forme ovale aplatie.
