An apparatus (1) and method for producing embossed paper or laminated metallic foil sheets (55) comprising means for feeding an elongate strip (20) of paper or laminated metallic foil, a pair of matched embossing rollers (5, 10) disposed to receive such a strip from the feeding means, and means for receiving such a strip from the embossing rollers after being embossed thereby, and for cutting such strip into sheets. The rollers have a plurality of embossing sectors (75) arranged on the surface thereof. At least one of the sectors imparts a first embossing, and at least another of the sectors imparts an alternate embossing different in appearance from the first embossing. The sectors are dimensioned similarly to the foil sheets. At least one group of the sheets carry the first embossing while at least another group of the sheets carry the alternate embossing.
La présente invention concerne un appareil (1) et un procédé de production de papier gaufré ou des feuilles métalliques stratifiées (55) comprenant des moyens pour introduire une bande allongée (20) de papier ou feuille métallique stratifiée, une paire de rouleaux de gaufrage (5, 10) correspondants disposés pour recevoir une telle bande en provenance des moyens d'introduction, et des moyens pour recevoir une telle bande en provenance des rouleaux de gaufrage après qu'elle ait été gaufrée de cette façon, et pour découper une telle bande en feuilles. Les rouleaux rpésentent sur leur surface une pluralité de secteurs de gaufrage (75). Au moins un des secteurs confère un premier gaufrage, et au moins un autre des secteurs confère un gaufrage alterné d'aspect différent par rapport au premier gaufrage. Les secteurs sont dimensionnés de manière similaire aux feuilles. Au moins un groupe parmi les feuilles comporte le premier gaufrage tandis qu'au moins un autre groupe parmi les feuilles comporte le gaufrage alterné.
