The present invention relates to an apparatus for separating steam from a mixture of steam and fibres, comprising an elongated feeding compartment (12) having an inlet and feeding means (10) for feeding a mixture through said inlet. The feeding means comprises a tubular section (18) which is curved such that the mixture in the tubular section (18) is separated during influence of centrifugal forces in a heavy steam-less fraction of fibres in a outer layer (20) and in a light fibre-free fraction of steam in a inner layer (22). The tubular section is arranged in such a way that heavy fraction of fibres is fed through the inlet peripherally (P). The separated light fraction of steam is fed against the centre (C) of the compartment and removed through an outlet (23,24) of the apparatus. The present invention also relates to a feeding means (10) for use in an apparatus as defined above and a method.
La présente invention concerne un appareil de séparation de vapeur d'eau à partir d'un mélange de vapeur d'eau et de fibres. Ledit appareil comprend un compartiment d'alimentation allongé (12) présentant une entrée et un moyen d'alimentation (10) permettant d'alimenter un mélange par l'intermédiaire de ladite entrée. Le moyen d'alimentation comprend une partie tubulaire (18) qui est incurvée de telle sorte que le mélange présent dans la partie tubulaire (18) est séparé lors de l'influence de forces centrifuges dans une fraction de fibres lourde, sans vapeur d'eau, d'une couche extérieure (20) et dans une fraction de vapeur d'eau légère, dépourvue de fibres, d'une couche intérieure (22). La partie tubulaire est conçue d'une telle manière qu'une fraction de fibres lourde est alimentée dans l'entrée de manière périphérique (P). La fraction de vapeur légère séparée est alimentée contre le centre (C) du compartiment et éliminée par l'intermédiaire d'une sortie (23,24) de l'appareil. La présente invention concerne également un moyen d'alimentation (10) destiné à être utilisé dans un appareil tel que défini ci-dessus, ainsi qu'un procédé.
