A wireless data communication system for a down hole environment is shown hi figure 1, The system includes a housing containing a sensor (26), positioned within a tubular (2), for collecting information and processing the information, a modulator (18) for modulating the information from the sensor into an analog signal, and a sensor antenna (20) electrically connected to the first modulator for generating a modulated electromagnetic wave. The system further includes a probe housing (16) concentrically disposed with the tubular, and a probe antenna (14) for receiving the signal from the sensor and for generating an output.
L'invention concerne un système de transmission sans fil de données destiné à un environnement de fond de trou. Le système comprend un corps contenant un capteur, positionné dans un élément tubulaire et servant à recueillir des données et à les traiter; un modulateur pour moduler les données provenant du capteur afin de produire un signal analogique; et une antenne de capteur connectée électriquement au premier modulateur pour produire une onde électromagnétique modulée. Le système comprend de plus un corps de sonde, placé concentriquement dans l'élément tubulaire et qui comprend une antenne de sonde permettant de recevoir l'onde électromagnétique modulée et de produire un signal de sortie; et un démodulateur pour démoduler l'onde électromagnétique provenant du capteur afin de produire une valeur numérique. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé permettant d'établir des communications sans fil entre une sonde et un capteur éloigné.
