An apparatus and method for recording and/or reproducing data on a disc using padding information, and a corresponding information storage medium. The recording method includes recording a recording unit block in which invalid data is padded in part of the block and recording padding information indicating that the invalid data is included. According to the method, a disc drive becomes able to distinguish valid data from invalid data in an error correction block such that reliability of reproduction increases and stability of the system is improved.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé destinés à l'enregistrement et/ou à la reproduction de données sur un disque, utilisant des informations de remplissage, et un support de stockage d'informations correspondant. Ce procédé consiste à enregistrer un bloc d'unité d'enregistrement dans lequel des données invalides ont été ajoutées dans une partie du bloc et à enregistrer des informations de remplissage indiquant que ces données invalides ont été ajoutées. Ce procédé permet à un lecteur de disque de distinguer des données valides de données invalides dans un bloc de correction d'erreurs et, ainsi, d'augmenter la fiabilité de la reproduction et d'améliorer la stabilité du système
