Apparatus for reducing mitral regurgitation, including a bendable elongated body (50) adapted to be inserted into the coronary sinus (30) of a patient in the vicinity of the posterior leaflet (39) of the mitral valve (36), the elongated body (50) being adjustable between a first configuration adapted to be delivered into the coronary sinus (30) and a second configuration adapted to exert a force onto the posterior annulus (33). The body (50) includes a flexible spine having a proximal end and a distal end (52), and a flexible wire (54) mounted on the spine and having a distal end fixed to the spine proximate to the distal end of the spine, and having a proximal portion (56) extending from the proximal end of the spine. Axial movement of the wire (54) causes a change in the spine from the first configuration to the second configuration to exert the force on the posterior annulus (33) and thereby reduce mitral regurgitation.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de diminuer la régurgitation mitrale, comprenant un corps allongé pliable conçu pour être inséré dans le sinus coronaire d'un patient, à proximité de la valve postérieure de la valvule mitrale, ce corps allongé pouvant être ajusté entre une première configuration conçue pour que le corps puisse être amené dans le sinus coronaire, et une seconde configuration conçue pour que le corps exerce une force sur l'anneau postérieur de la valvule mitrale.
