An apparatus and method for remotely controlling doorbell chimes includes a doorbell activation circuit (40) having a manually actuated doorbell button (41) for activating a transmitter (43) to generate a predetermined frequency electromagnetic wave (45) from an antenna (44). A main doorbell chime circuit (46) includes an antenna (47) connected to receiver (48) and is responsive to the wave (45) for generating an acoustic frequency signal (50) from a main doorbell chime (49). One or more auxiliary doorbell chime circuits (52) each include an antenna (53) connected to receiver (54) and are responsive to the wave (45) for generating an acoustic frequency signal (56) from an auxiliary doorbell chime (55).
L'invention est constituée par un appareil et une méthode servant à télécommander un carillon de porte. L'appareil et la méthode de l'invention utilisent un circuit d'activation du carillon (40) comportant un bouton actionné manuellement (41) qui sert à activer un émetteur (43), lequel émet une onde électromagnétique (45) de fréquence prédéterminée au moyen d'une antenne (44).
