The invention comprises an apparatus and a method for removing a broken pulp web (8) from a pulp dryer (4). The apparatus (1) comprises: a maintenance platform (2) arranged at the first or the second end of the pulp dryer, outside the walls (5) of the pulp dryer; means for shifting the maintenance platform in a substantially vertical direction to a desired height with respect to the pulp dryer (4); and an extraction device (1) fixed to the edge (12) of the maintenance platform (2) facing the dryer for pulling a broken pulp web (8) out of the pulp dryer (4).

La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour retirer un matelas de pâte brisé (8) d~un séchoir à pâte (4). L~appareil (1) comprend : une plate-forme de maintenance (2) agencée au niveau de la première ou de la deuxième extrémité du séchoir à pâte, en dehors des parois (5) du séchoir à pâte ; un moyen pour déplacer la plate-forme de maintenance dans un sens sensiblement vertical jusqu~à une hauteur souhaitée par rapport au séchoir à pâte (4), et un dispositif d~extraction (1) fixé au bord (12) de la plate-forme de maintenance (2) face au séchoir pour extraire un matelas de pâte brisé (8) du séchoir à pâte (4).
