ABSTRACT An apparatus for reproducing video signals, which are recorded on abutting parallel tracks having different azimuth directions, comprises a pair of rotary heads respectively having azimuth angles corresponding to the azimuth directions of the tracks to be scanned and a substantially greater head width than the track width, the head width of the heads scanning the main track being selected such that a portion of the head overlapping the adjacent track can reduce a cross-talk signal having a particular frequency component on basis of azimuth loss of the head to the different azimuth direction of the adjacent track. -1-
