An apparatus for retrieving objects from well bores includes an uppermost segment having an internally threaded opening extending upwardly from a bottom end of the uppermost segment to a first location above the bottom end. One or more additional segments are provided. Each of the additional segments have top and bottom ends and are removably attachable, at a top end of each additional segment to a bottom end of one of an upper one of the additional segments and the uppermost segment. Each of the additional segments have a tapered, internally threaded opening extending between the top end and the bottom end of the additional segments. A top end of the uppermost segment is secured to a bottom end of a rotatable down-hole drill rod and is lowered down around and rotated relative to an object to be retrieved such that threads on the tapered, internally threaded opening engage with the object. A method for using the apparatus and a method for making a retrieving tool are also disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à repêcher des objets dans un puits de forage. Cet appareil comprend un segment supérieur présentant un trou dont les parois portent un filetage et qui s'étend depuis sa partie inférieure jusqu'à un premier point se trouvant juste au-dessus de cette partie inférieure. Cet appareil comporte également un ou plusieurs segments additionnels. Chacun de ces segments est composé d'une partie supérieure et d'une partie inférieure, la partie supérieure de chacun pouvant s'assembler de façon non permanente à la partie inférieure du segment qui le précède ou du segment supérieur. En outre, chacun de ces segments additionnels est creusé d'un trou conique dont les parois portent un filetage s'étendant de la partie supérieure à la partie inférieure des segments additionnels. On fixe la partie supérieure du segment supérieur à la partie inférieure d'une tige de forage rotative fond-de-trou et on descend l'appareil dans le puits de forage au niveau de l'objet à récupérer et on le fait tourner par rapport à ce dernier de façon à ce que le filet du trou conique engrène l'objet. L'invention porte aussi sur une façon d'utiliser l'appareil en question et sur une méthode de fabrication d'un instrument de repêchage.
