An apparatus for separating a volume of composite liquid into at least a first component and a second component comprises a centrifuge having a rotor (32, 33, 34, 35). The rotor comprises a turntable (35) for supporting a separation bag (1) and a central compartment (34) for containing satellite bags connected to the separation bag (1). The central compartment is fitted with a support member (87) for supporting at least one satellite bag (2, 3) so that a liquid contained in the supported satellite bag (2, 3) drains from the supported satellite bag (2, 3) into the separation bag (1) under centrifugation forces when the rotor (32, 33, 34, 35) is set in rotation.
Appareil de séparation d'un volume de liquide composite en au moins un premier composant et un second composant, qui comprend une centrifugeuse avec un rotor (32, 33, 34, 35). Le rotor est constitué d'une plaque tournante (35) sur laquelle repose un sac de séparation (1), et un compartiment central(34) renfermant des sacs satellites raccordés au sac de séparation (1). Le compartiment central est équipé d'un élément-support (87) supportant au moins un sac satellite (2, 3) de sorte que le liquide contenu dans ledit sac satellite (2, 3) s'écoule dans le sac de séparation (1) sous l'effet des forces centrifuges lorsque le rotor (32, 33, 34, 35) se met à tourner.
