The invention is a method for separating a volume of whole blood contained in a separation bag (1) into at least three components. The method includes centrifuging the separation bag (1) so as to separate the blood into a first inner layer or plasma, a second intermediate layer of platelets, a third intermediate layer of lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes, and a fourth outer layer of red blood cells, and wherein at least.the third and fourth layers partially overlap. The method further includes transferring the plasm component into a plasma component bag (2) connected to the separation bag (1) and transferring a mononuclear cell component, wherein the component is one of at least a fraction of the third layer of lymphocytes and monocytes, into a mononuclear cell component bag (3a).
La présente invention a trait à un procédé pour la séparation d'un volume de sang total contenu dans une poche de séparation (1) en au moins trois constituants comprenant: la centrifugation de la poche de séparation (1) afin d'y séparer une première couche interne comportant du plasma, une deuxième couche intermédiaire comportant des plaquettes, une troisième couche intermédiaire comportant des lymphocytes, monocytes et granulocytes et une quatrième couche externe comportant des érythrocytes, au moins les troisième et quatrième couches se chevauchant en partie; le transfert, dans une poche de constituant plasma (2) relié à la poche de séparation (1), un constituant plasma comportant sensiblement une première fraction de la première couche; et le transfert, dans une poche de constituant de cellules mononucléaires (3a) relié à la poche de séparation (1) un constituant de cellules mononucléaires comportant au moins une fraction de la troisième couche comprenant des lymphocytes et des monocytes.
