A method and system for visible light communication (VLC) for use in a dimmable lighting environment is provided. The method includes transmitting data using light from at least one light source, a brightness of the light reduced below a maximum level. The method also includes compensating or accommodating for the reduced brightness of the light at a VLC circuitry to maintain communication. The method further includes transmitting data to at least one VLC receiver using the light from the at least one light source.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et un système de communication par lumière visible (VLC) destinés à être utilisés dans un environnement d'éclairage à gradation d'intensité. Le procédé consiste à transmettre des données à l'aide de lumière provenant d'au moins une source de lumière, une luminosité de la lumière étant réduite au-dessous d'un niveau maximal. Le procédé comprend également la compensation ou l'adaptation à la luminosité réduite de la lumière au niveau d'un circuit VLC pour maintenir la communication. Le procédé comprend en outre la transmission des données à au moins un récepteur VLC à l'aide de la lumière provenant de la ou des sources de lumière.
